Stretching for 50km along the base of the rusty-gold 600-metre high Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a scenic gem, with a setting extolled by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”.

The compact game-viewing circuit through Manyara offers a virtual microcosm of the Tanzanian safari experience.

From the entrance gate, the road winds through an expanse of lush jungle-like groundwater forest where hundred-strong baboon troops lounge nonchalantly along the roadside, blue monkeys scamper nimbly between the ancient mahogany trees, dainty bushbuck tread warily through the shadows, and outsized forest hornbills honk cacophonously in the high canopy.

Day 3Lake Eyasi

After breakfast you will meet your local guide and together you will meet the Hadzabe Bush People and Datoga Tribe. Join them as they go about their daily activities such as hunting and gathering. You will visit the area where they collect fruits and roots and find water during the dry season as well as visit the caves they call home.

Day 4Ngorongoro crater

Early morning breakfast and then proceed to Ngorongoro Crater, en route game drive with picnic lunches, later proceed to Lake Eyasi Camp site for dinner and overnight stay.

The main feature of the Ngorongoro Conservation Authority is the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera.[10] The crater, which formed when a large volcano exploded and collapsed on itself two to three million years ago, is 610 metres (2,000 feet) deep and its floor covers 260 square kilometres (100 square miles).[8][11] Estimates of the height of the original volcano range from 4,500 to 5,800 metres (14,800 to 19,000 feet) high. The elevation of the crater floor is 1,800 metres (5,900 feet) above sea level after proceed to Serengeti Nguchiro public camp site for dinner and overnight.

Day 5Serengeti National Park

Full day in the Serengeti National Park, We are completely flexible with your preferences and this day will be organized according to your wishes. On every day of the safari, your guide will discuss with you the best timings for you, including the game drives and the wake up time. For example, on this day, you could do a morning game drive, return to the camp for lunch and relaxation and finish with an afternoon game drive, or you could do a full day game drive with picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight Serengeti public camp.

Day 6Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, another full daygame drive in Serengeti National Park with picnic lunches, dinner and overnight public camping site.

A million wildebeest… each one driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfilling its instinctive role in the inescapable cycle of life: a frenzied three-week bout of territorial conquests and mating; survival of the fittest as 40km (25 mile) long columns plunge through crocodile-infested water on the annual exodus north; replenishing the species in a brief population explosion that produces more than 8,000 calves daily before the 1,000 km (600 mile) pilgrimage begins again.

Day 7Lake Natron and Mount Lengai

Today you will travel to Lake Natron, wild &remote; it is situated at the base of Africa’s only active volcano, OldoinyoLengai, which is known as the Mountain of God to the local Maasai people. The area around Lake Natron contains some of the most harsh & amazing scenery in Africa & is utterly breathtaking for those clients who choose to travel off the beaten path.

Together with your Guide, you will be accompanied by a local Maasai Guide & walk up to the EngeroSero Waterfalls. Winding up through the shady gorge you will reach a beautiful natural swimming pool surrounded by steep rock walls showered by cascading spring water where you will have the opportunity to swim.

Day 8Lake Natron

Lake Natron is one of the most alkaline lakes in the world. Home to millions of tiny crustaceans, the lake is a haven for literally thousands of flamingos & it is one of the most important flamingo breeding grounds on earth. It is the landscape rather than the animals that is the attraction here & the area around the lake is dry, desolate & hauntingly beautiful.

After breakfast you will walk out across the baked mud to the shores of the great Soda Lake. From here, you can look back at the memorising view of OldoinyoLengai standing tall amongst the rolling hills & flat plains. Its ash-grey colour will remind you that this is still an active volcano.

After lunch, you will travel back to Mtowambu where you will spend the night.

Day 9Arusha city

Today you will be transferred to the airport for your onward Flight back home with unforgettable memories.
